The Canadian subsidiary of the STRABAG Group has been awarded the Ashbridges Bay Treatment Plant Integrated Pumping Station – Construction Contract 2 by the City of Toronto to build deep concrete shafts and chambers and feeder tunnels for the new Integrated Pumping Station at Ashbridges Bay Treatment Plant at a cost of almost CAD 120 million, the equivalent of about € 80 million.

Now, 40 years after the original machine was delivered, Robbins is returning to the role. Two 10.37 m diameter Crossover (XRE) TBMs will bore the second Severomuysky Tunnel, clocking in at 15.5 km long and running through mixed ground and fault zones.
